This year's big civil engineering excursion of the University of Stuttgart was organized by our Institute for Acoustics and Building Physics (IABP). The destination, for us and a total of 24 students, was Budapest in Hungary. In Budapest, we were warmly welcomed at the Technical University of Budapest (TUB) and the Moholy Nagy University (MOME). The program .
In Budapest and the surrounding region, we were fortunate enough to visit numerous interesting buildings with a focus on building physics. The site visits included aspects of building and room acoustics, fire protection, environmentally friendly building for people, flora and fauna, culture-friendly building, lighting design and energy technology.
